This treatment must be treated as a FIRST-STAGE WOUND.
Proper preparation is REQUIRED to minimize risks, reduce inflammation, and optimize your results.
To reduce bruising, inflammation, and complications, please STOP the following unless medically necessary and approved by your physician:
These supplements can thin the blood, affect platelet function, and increase bruising/swelling:
Why this matters:
PRP relies on your body’s natural healing response.
Anything that interferes with platelet function or increases circulation can lead to:

Proper skin preparation is extremely important before undergoing
Microneedling, PRP, or Microneedling with PRP. This treatment creates controlled micro-injury in the skin and must be treated seriously. If the skin is already irritated, inflamed, over-exfoliated, sun-exposed, or recently treated with other procedures, this can increase the risk of:
For your safety, it is very important that you carefully review the following:
Please discontinue or avoid any products or treatments that may increase skin sensitivity, irritation, peeling, or inflammation.
STOP USING THE FOLLOWING ON THE TREATMENT AREA:
These ingredients can thin, dry, sensitize, or inflame the skin barrier. When combined with Microneedling or PRP treatment, they may increase the risk of:
If you have recently used or received chemical peels, exfoliating acids, or resurfacing treatments, you must let us know before booking or before treatment.
This includes:
Skin that has recently been exposed to acids or peels may not be ready for Microneedling or PRP. Even if your skin “looks fine,” the barrier may still be compromised underneath, which increases the risk of irritation and poor healing.
Avoid excessive sun exposure before your appointment.
If your skin is sunburned, recently tanned, overheated, inflamed, or overly exposed to UV rays, it may not be safe to perform treatment. Sun-exposed skin is already inflamed, and treating over compromised skin can increase the risk of:
If you have had significant sun exposure, a sunburn, or your skin feels hot, irritated, or tender, you must let us know before your appointment.
Please inform us if you have had any recent:
Recently treated skin may still be healing, even if redness or peeling has improved. Performing Microneedling or PRP too soon after another treatment can overstimulate the skin and increase the chance of complications.
Please avoid the following in the treatment area before your appointment:
These services can leave the skin freshly irritated, more vulnerable, and more reactive during treatment.
This is very important.
Please inform us if you have recently had:
Recently tinted, tattooed, or cosmetically altered skin may still be healing or may be more reactive. Treating too close to those areas can cause:
If you have recently had any of the above done, you must disclose it before treatment.
Please arrive with clean, product-free skin.
Patients must understand that Microneedling and PRP are not performed on compromised skin. Even products or treatments done days earlier can affect your skin’s response and healing.
For your safety, it is your responsibility to disclose:
Failure to disclose this information may increase the risk of complications and may result in your appointment being postponed or rescheduled for safety purposes.
Your skin must be in a calm, healthy, non-irritated state before treatment.
Proper preparation helps:
Your safety always comes first.
(Abdomen, Buttocks, Thighs, Arms, Back)
Microneedling with PRP creates micro-channels in the skin, meaning your skin will be treated as a first-stage wound.
Proper hygiene and preparation are critical to prevent irritation, infection, and complications.
DO NOT WEAR:
Tight clothing causes friction, traps bacteria, and can interfere with healing.
You must prepare your environment and clothing before your appointment.
We recommend purchasing an antibacterial cleanser (such as Hibiclens®) ahead of time.
Why this is important:
✔ Use gently do not scrub
✔ Cleanse and pat dry (do not rub)
For the first 3 days after treatment:
This minimizes bacteria, sweat buildup, and irritation on treated skin.
This is extremely important.
For the first 3 days:
Your skin is in a healing phase and easily exposed to bacteria from fabrics, which can increase the risk of breakouts or infection.
Scrubbing or friction can irritate the treated area and delay healing.
To protect your skin during this process, avoid:
Microneedling is not a basic treatment it requires proper hygiene and preparation.

Microneedling is an elective cosmetic treatmentintended to improve the appearance and quality of the skin. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition or disease.
Please inform your provider of all medical conditions, allergies, current medications, supplements, recent cosmetic procedures, and any skin conditions before receiving treatment. Full disclosure is essential to help determine whether microneedling is appropriate for you.
Microneedling is not recommended for patients with active acne breakouts, active skin infections, open wounds, cold sores, or other active inflammatory skin conditions in the treatment area. Performing microneedling over active acne or an active infection may increase the risk of spreading bacteria, worsening inflammation, delayed healing, or other complications.
If you have active acne or another underlying skin condition, we strongly recommend that you first consult with your board-certified dermatologist, primary care physician, or other qualified healthcare provider. Some patients may require medical evaluation and written clearance before treatment can be safely performed.
Patients with acne scars but no active acne lesions or breakouts may still be good candidates for microneedling following a professional consultation.
Some patients may require medical clearance from their primary care physician, dermatologist, or appropriate medical specialist before treatment. If medical clearance is recommended based on your medical history, skin condition, medications, or overall health, treatment may be postponed until written clearance is received.
Skin Institute of Aesthetics reserves the right to postpone or decline treatment if we determine that a medical evaluation or physician clearance is necessary to ensure your safety or if we believe treatment is not appropriate at the time of your appointment.
Results vary by individual. Multiple treatment sessions may be recommended to achieve optimal results.
Skin Institute of Aesthetics provides cosmetic and aesthetic services and does not replace the medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment provided by your licensed physician or other qualified healthcare provider. If you have medical concerns or questions about whether microneedling is appropriate for you, please consult your healthcare provider before undergoing treatment.
